Brown Hair Highlights

If you have brown hair, you should lightens naturally, it has to go through shades of red first. Thus red lowlights make your hair highlights look much more natural on brunettes.

I have been light blond for well all my life , 35 yrs. I recently dyed it brown, tried to foil blond threw it, turned orange, had to dye dark brown. Tonight a professional is hopefully going to make my hair like the above pictures... it's gorgeous! Wish me luck~

Hair Highlight Tips

Red Hair Highlight

Black Hair Highlights
If you have dark to black hair, you should not go more than 3 shades lighter than their natural color with highlights. In terms of lowlights, tones of red and tortoise (a blend of copper and gold) colors work best.

Hair Highlight Idea
Got lost in the fashion magazines or at the hair highlight color products conuter? Have no clue which color matches your skin tones? When should I go to a professional? Find your answers here.

Trends in Color
These days, pretty much anything goes when it comes to hair color. Not too long ago reds were all the rage, and everyone from movie stars to high schoolers sported a flame top. It got a little predictable, didn't it?

Blonde Hair Highlights
If your hair is light brown or even dark blonde, blonde hair highlights can add a tone of depth to your hair. You can weave in up to 3 different types of colors. Ask a pro about lowlights as well. If you have blonde hair, darker lowlights add more contrast.

How to Choose Highlights That Complement Your Coloring?
Hair Highlights offer hair a sun-kissed glow and shimmery radiance. Vary the shade of blond depending on your skin color and the effect you'd like to achieve.
